Inspection and Electronics

In addition to its manufacturing capabilities, the Maker Space is well-equipped with high precision inspection tools, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the development cycle.

Through hands-on experience with these sophisticated tools, students gain an understanding of quality assurance, contributing to their skill set and preparing them for the exacting standards of industries where precision and attention to detail are paramount.

Electronics Development

In our dedicated electronics development area, students have access to a comprehensive suite of development tools and resources. From soldering irons to oscilloscopes and bench power supplies this resource-rich environment empowers students to understand the basics of electronics but also to experiment and innovate.

Inspection Equipment

Our optical and digital microscopes allow close examination of intricate structures, aid in precision instrument alignment, and permit the analysis of material properties and surface finishes of machined components.

Our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is a cornerstone of precision measurement, allowing users to assess the dimensional accuracy and geometric characteristics of their machined prototypes to exacting standards.

3D Scanning

3D scanning equipment eases the transition from the real world to CAD software – designing parts that mesh perfectly with pre-existing geometry is now much easier.

We have several types of scanner, some which are excellent at precision inspection, and others which are better for broader, faster scans of people and faces.
